Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the business: vm script
Description of requirements/functionality: Hi require a VMScript to be wrote to provide the following functionality.
The script will be executed by a third party software that monitors various event log messages, the software will look for a condition of specific logon message to a windows desktop or server. Upon this third party software seeing this even the script will execute.
I require the script to perform the following functions.
List all windows processes running on the host
output each process as individual event entries to windows event log - the system event log.
Once the script has cycled i would like it to wait 10 minutes and execute again then end after the second cycle.
The desire of the script is for me to
1) when my third party software detects the specfic user condition it will execute the script
2) this script first time cycle will list all processes as an output into the windows system event log
3) the script will wait 10 minutes and cycle again and list all processes as an output into the windows system event log.
4) my third party software will use the process information from the first cycle and second (last) cycle to create a delta (diff) between the processes from cycle one to cycle two.
Iv investigated and got some of the elements of this script working but as im not a programmer or scripter its taking me some time to get the individual event outputs, wait periods and error handling correctly working so iv decided to outsource this.
If there are any questions or suggestions to better improve this please let me know when you bid for the project.
