Upgrade Bespoke 16 Bit Program to Work With Windows 7 64 Bit

Description of every module: Our Company manufactures corrugated boxes and within day to day operation we use a bespoke software package which allows us quote , order , invoice , order , acknowledge , print , etc, . The program is very basic but it is networked within 4 computers within our offices and allows us to print to our local computer. We have currently use this system on windows xp and as you know due to know support from Microsoft no more we have upgraded our systems to windows 7 professional 64 bit with windows server 2008r2.

As the developer who created the program doesn't have a idea how to migrate this program onto the new operating system. It has only lead us with the only operation to use Windows XP mode within windows 7 , but sometime this is very unreliable and does not network correctly.

Our ideal situation would be able to use the program on the desktop as normal.

Currently the program works under a workgroup where the main database is installed on one machine and then the 16 bit program is installed on each machine where the program is networked. Each person has there own user but this information is saved onto the system.

I can provide as much information as you need , but i need this upgrading or give the best suggestion asap. As we want to start using our new systems asap.
