Update Ajax WordPress Post Filter to Show All by Default

I have this in functions.php:
*MOVE TO FILE*
And this in the theme template:
*MOVED TO FILE*
This works great, but it shows no posts upon initial load, and then shows the relevant posts when a filter is applied. I would like to show all posts upon initial load, and then show the relevant posts when a filter is applied.
Can you help update the code to behave like this?
