Summary: Write a Python script that scrapes data from each Sainsbry's UK Groceries product page into a Pandas dataframe.
Details:
Contract is for an efficient and robust script, plus a file with the output from an initial run of all products.
Code must include appropriate IP/ID randomisation.
Product fields required:
- Product title (including weight if that is how displayed)
- Product weight
- Product price (net of any product offers)
- Price saving (if on offer)
- Price per measure
- Ingredients list (as a single clean text string)
- Nutritional info per 100g (separate fields for each of: Energy in kcal, Fat, of which saturates, Carbohydrates, of which sugars, Fibre, Protein, Salt)
- Recommended serving size (where info is available)
- Product category hierarchy (e.g. Food cupboard/Crisps, nuts & snacking fruit/Sharing crisps)
- Item code
Would like it completed by end of November, if possible.
To include in your proposal:
• Details of your previous experience in scraping UK supermarket websites (ideally Sainsbry's).
• An outline of your approach (including key packages)
• Details of any challenges you foresee
• Scope changes that you would suggest
• £500 Budget is a maximum - please let me know the best price you can deliver this for.
