Tuition required to get started on LinkedIn and Twitter

Help! We're a recruitment company that specialises in marketing recruitment, with a new website. We want to get our corporate act together to create pages and get active on LinkedIn and Twitter - primarily directed towards prospective clients and candidates respectively, we think. But we are hampered by 2 things : a) when marketing to marketing people we need to be credible and do it properly, albeit with an SME budget, and b) I've got a real block on how to get started.
I'm probably overthinking all this but would like to work with someone to overcome the initial hurdles and to ask them all my stupid/basic questions! We'll also want someone who can help guide us in how we link all this together and get the links/feeds working.

NB : this is about helping/teaching us how to get started and how to run these activities ourselves in the future, rather than getting someone in to do this for us, thanks.

My expectation is that we need 4-6 hours intially then 2-4 hours further down the line (possibly 3/4 weeks down the line, then ad-hoc if required in the future.

Would be great to be able to meet someone face to face (I'm north Oxfordshire near M40, junction 10) and work it through together but telephone \"support/tuition\" would probably work too.
