Hello
We have a big ThreeJS project we're working on, for which we need additional help, but before we invite anyone new to the project, we have a smaller job that needs to be finished, so this would be a good test to show your ability.
The small project doesn't have much budget, but as said, if you can complete it, we may look to invite you into the bigger job for long-term work when requirements come up.
The job involves working on a simple ThreeJS script, which loads a OBJ file and attaches annotations to the model, from an external JSON file, annotations are displayed as hotspot circle images over the object, which also moves as the model is rotated.
What we need is for the following quick tasks to be completed;
* Put something in place to stop the object from being dragged around, but keep rotating and zoom
* Go through the code and remove anything which isn't being used, a general cleanup
* Make it so whatever OBJ is first loaded, it always sits centred on the screen and never out of view, the annotations should also always be in view
* Put some JS in place, so when the object is right-clicked, it provides the X,Y,Z coordinates in the browser console, this is so the client knows the X,Y,Z values for any new annotations
* In the annotations JSON file, allow each of the hotspot images to be defined and define the text which sits over the top of the annotation image, currently we just display 0, 1, 2, 3 and so forth
* We would like to display a straight vertical line on each hotspot image, which runs from the bottom of the hotspot down into the model, so in the annotation JSON file, we want to define the length of that line
There are a few more bigger tasks, but these are the initial quick ones to complete
