Experience Level: Intermediate
We are a research company based in Soho and we use some online tools developed by ourselves to gather respondent data from people around the world. We have a few sites spread across two servers.
We need an experienced sys admin person to come in and tweak the set-ups on the development server and the two live servers. We\'d like the lucky candidate to come in and asses what we currently have and suggest some improvements. In summary we need to:
- optimise for speed
- create a system of rolling back-ups
- do a security audit
- set-up better remote access than we currently have
With our limited knowledge we estimate 2-3 days. You may tell us that\'s wrong.
We work in a LAMP environment so we need experience in:
* LAMP administration
* Security for SVN/LAMP
* Backup/restore best practise for servers and MySQL
