Step-by-step instruction on how to install Nominatim on a laptop

Hi,

I need step-by-step, straight forward instruction on how to install Nominatim and import .osm.pbf maps data on my laptop. I'd like it to be ˝address˝level of details (only need North America, not the entire world nor Wiki places etc). Python script that I would run as per need, must be able to use that Nominatim data. And no other devices should be able to use it (so, Nominatim server in my laptop but just for me). I'm on latest Mint Cinnamon.

Can someone help?
