Software Bug Not working on Windows 10

On my previous laptop running Windows 7 I had a small program called "Polderbits Sound Editor" I bought a lifetime license so it could be transferred to another machine. However it would require a new key requested from the software developer. Sadly the developer died 5 years ago (you can google the case).

This means when transferring to new PC with windows 10 I am unable to run the new program as after the 7 day trial period it requires a new key. The old key will not work as the program changes the program code. So I need help to gain access to this program again. It is a very simple program and all other software alternatives are so complicated.

If you google my problem above you will find numerous examples where people have been unable to reactivate this program. I have the exe file I can send to any developer.
