Small Programming task to finish our program

Write a function that returns the row sums for a square matrix.
Now modify this program to produce the column sums.
The next task is to modify the program so that it takes a parameter to indicate whether row sums or column sums are needed.
Repeat this for row and column averages.
Now finally modify the program so that the extra parameter indicates row or column, sum or average.
Make sure that any appropriate error checking and handling is implemented.

Also Write a program that changes a matrix as follows: Transpose.
