Small jQuery issue on first time visiting website only

Hi!

We are having a small issue with jQuery on our website, it is a subscribe function that on success calls a php script and fades out while fading in the second stage of subscribing, asking for an email if they have been invited, after this is filled in there is a last stage, asking for the postcode.

It seems users have problems with the fading out and fading in of other stages on the very first visit so they don't get past the very first stage, but works good on the second or more visits.

We would like a experienced jQuery coder to have a look at our code for an hour and come up with possible solutions and hopefully, knows the reason of why this could be happening.
