Description
Experience Level: Entry
Develop a Simulink model of a PEMFC designed as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). The system is intended to provide backup power in the range of 100 kW to 1 MW, with the ability to handle sudden power spikes every 10 seconds.
I am seeking guidance and support to better understand how to model this system in Simulink. Specifically, I would like help with:
- Structuring the key components of the PEMFC (stack, air supply, hydrogen supply, cooling).
- Defining operational parameters (voltage, current, power output, efficiency, and fuel consumption).
- Incorporating UPS-specific features such as fast response times, dynamic load behavior, and a hybrid systemwith battery integration (lead-acid and/or lithium-ion).
- Simulating the performance of the PEMFC under intermittent operation to reflect typical backup power scenarios.
My goal is to learn how to develop this model and to gain a deeper understanding of PEMFC systems and their applications. If you can offer guidance, tutorials, or collaborative insights, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Do you already have any initial design elements for the model, or are we starting from scratch?
