Description
Experience Level: Entry
I have a very weak 'malware' file for which I need to retrieve the username and password that is required to run this malware file on a Linux VM (Possibly requires static/dynamic analysis of the file)
The file a valid ELF executable Linux file and will only run in a Linux environment.. When it is ran, it asks for a login and password and then disappears. I require the username and password.
I would also require screenshots of the tools and the method that have been used to obtain the username and password.
Possible steps would include:
- unpacking the file in a VM
-using software and tools retrieve the username and password.
