Repairing link from outlook to act database

I use act database with outlook 2003 as its email editor there has been icon buttons on the outlook toolbar which enables incoming or outgoing emails to be linked to contacts in the act database
my outlook froze so i had to restart computer and since then the act toolbar icons in outlook have dissappeared i have tried using set up in act without luck

can any one help me fix this problem
