Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 6 months
General information for the business: Energy saving and sustainability outcomes delivered through user engagement and data visualisations
Description of requirements/functionality: We're looking for an all rounder part-time freelance dev to help with maintaining our existing systems, running a number of custom Django apps and integrations on cloud servers. We're based in London, remote working would be fine for this role.
Initial workload will be about 1 day/ week. The primary job is to watch our reporting tools, and responding quickly to keep services running correctly when something goes wrong - typically this requires systems maintenance response rather than code changes. There are also data management tasks (db management, cleanup, reports) that need doing for clients typically with a week's notice or so - sometimes these are best done by hand, sometimes it's worth writing a tool to do them. When codebase changes are required, these typically either python/django, or front-end work which is not complex but should be accessible and in line with industry best practices.
In early 2017, we will be developing new features on existing apps, and some new apps as well. Ideally I’d like to find a long-term team member who can support the business as we grow in 2017, and help us with general dev to cover growth spurts and skills gaps as we expand.
Specific technologies required: python django postgres nginx memcached rabbit celery
OS requirements: Linux

Hi,
Are you restricted with Python or open for other technologies too ?
Best Regards,
Bals.Luke N.22 Dec 2016Yes, we're fixed on Python for the application development, at least for now
Bals S.22 Dec 2016Thanks for your reply.
I'm well experienced in application development and maintenance but not good in Phyton.
