Push ASP.Net website from local environment to live

I have a client website built in asp.net
I have replicated this onto a local environment and made quite a few changes to the homepage asthetically.

I know all the files that have been changed, but I'm unsure how to push this to live.

The old hosting company used to just FTP the changes to the live server.

There are a few changes in App_Controls and App_MasterPages, but when I view the live server via FTP the App_Controls and App_Masterpages folders aren't there.

I believe I need to compile the site and then push it to the live site but I don't know which files I'm pushing.

I really need some expertise to help me deploy this to live.
