    Description

    Experience Level: Expert
    Estimated project duration: 3 - 4 weeks
General information for the business: Prototype development
Kind of development: New program from scratch
Description of requirements/functionality: I would like a simple prototype made using specific components that i happy to supply. I am also open to your suggestions if you think there is a better parts list or solution.

Ideally id like to use a raspberry Pi board along with a good quality CCD and a Lidar sensor.

The objective is to have a working prototype that: -
1 - Detects a moving object when it passes in front of the camera.
2 - Detects the difference between say a human figure and a static object such as a wall.
3 - Displays and Flashes a STOP HUMAN IN RANGE text if it detects a human with in a specific range, say 3 meters.
4 - Displays and Flashes a STOP OBJECT IN RANGE text if it detects an object with in a specific range, say 3 meters.

From what i have researched openCV is the best way forward. There is a lot of examples on the web/youtube/github showing how its been done.

BOM - (happy to alter BOM if you can suggest anything better)

    1 - Raspberry Pi
    2 - Lidar sensor - http://www.robotshop.com/uk/lidar-lite-2-laser-rangefinder-pulsedlight.html or http://www.robotshop.com/uk/teraranger-one-tof-rangefinder-type-a-spider.html
    3 - CCD Camera - http://www.robotshop.com/uk/fpv-700tvl-digital-ccd-video-camera.html
    4 - ???
