How would one use any of OpenCV's Optical Flow algorithms on a 360 degree equirectangular panorama video?

Doing this regularly would not account for the distortion introduced by the projection.
Additionally how would one make sure there are no seams in the resulting optical flow field along the edges of this equirectangularly projected image? Since anything that goes off frame, enters on the other side.

Preferably the solution would be using OpenCV in python, though I am open to other suggestions using python or C++.
