Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the website: Wordpress & Vbulletin Integration, Moving Content, Theme Configurations
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of every page/module: See Documents
Description of requirements/features: See Details and Zip Documents
Extra services needed: Installation, Customization, 3rd party integration, Optimization
Extra notes: I am trying to move this site; Cappersinfo.com to a pre-built wordpress theme (already purchased).
I am creating a new WordPress powered site for Cappersinfo.com (an old site that needs updating).
I installed the theme in a sandbox directorty (http://test.cappersinfo.com) that I I will need moved to the main site when finished (Test directory: test.cappersinfo.com).
Last night I installed a theme that I think will incorporate nicely into what I'm trying to accomplish. I bought at theme forest (You can see the theme here: http://themeforest.net/item/steam-responsive-retina-review-magazine-theme/5734392).
The theme includes minisites for the different subcategories and sections. I plan to feature the articles that are on the current site's blog section (at cappersinfo.com/blog) and have minisites for each sport category and minisites for other sections as well. I had some trouble trying to import my content into the new WordPress install. The theme has full documentation. I need this theme properly configured setup and all the sections of the site imported. Main posts are already added and logo is already done.
The theme also includes review pages, which should work well for the different sportsbook review sections of my currrent site (you can see these at cappersinfo.com/sportsbook).
I even started working on a minisite for these sections.
You can see this here: http://test.cappersinfo.com/?it_sportsbookreviews=5-dimes-sportsbook-review
Note: this is a new version of http://www.cappersinfo.com/sportsbook/5-dimes-sportsbook.shtml
I had brainstormed many times about a detailed project description for this project; which included hiring someone to build a brand new WordPress theme from scratch. So, I have several documents with details on my plans for this site and possible descriptions for the project, but they assume the developer will be working from scratch. I attached these documents below. The other day, I found this theme ("Steam" theme) on themeforest and decided that it would be a better plan to use this theme as a foundation; and hire someone like yourself to; help import the content, create graphics to fit the theme, and make some modifications that give it a unique look and tailor it to what we are trying to do.
This site has a vbulletin forum as well & I need the following vbulletin/wordpress bridge script installed (already purhcased);
http://wp-vb-bridge.obscurecloud.com/
I will need the forum theme to offer a similar design and style as the wordpress theme. I purchased this script developers guide to assist in completing the bridge script and forum theme conversion: http://wp-vb-bridge.obscurecloud.com/wordpress-vbulletin-theme-integration-instructions/
Other sections are included in the PDF below along with some details on the project.
It's my hope that the following steps will give you a good idea of what I am trying to accomplish;
(1) reading this & the documents attached
(2) reviewing my old portal site and the different sections, such as the blog & sportsbook reviews
(3) checking out the theme (link above) and seeing how it works.
(4) looking through my test theme, particularly the sportsbook review minisite and page I created for the 5dimes review.
Please let me know that you can complete the project before bidding.
