Network Engineer

We have a VPN set up to allow remote terminals to be contacted by a head end server. The VPN is uses SoftEther. It has a local bridge to the core network. Terminals connect using the SoftEther client using a client mode session. There are 19 terminals at two branches; each terminal runs its own client.

Only traffic for our servers is routed over the VPN; the rest is routed directly to the internet from the branch. We also do not need to route traffic between branches; only between a branch and servers on the VPN headend.

We are looking to optimise performance of the VPN and have identified that a potential way to do this is to deploy a router at branch level which handles encyption/decryption and sessions for the VPN. SoftEther will remain as our server head end.

We are seeking assistance to help us transition across to this setup. This will include advice on hardware, configuration and testing.
