Need android programming lessons

I need to learn android programming. I have a computing background but I am new to Java (but understand principles of OO) and new to Android but have used eclipse a little.

I would like to learn based on someone helping me with simple, commented, specific programs (that are specific to my eventual goals) that I can load into eclipse and use to understand. So this can be remote.

I basically got bored learning programs I'm not interested in from a book
