Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: Ongoing
General information for the website: My client is a Distribution company for the Mid-west.
Development Website URL: compidistributors.jllweb.com.
Description of every page/module: N/A
Description of requirements/features: This is to alter an existing *working* API. It uses PHP and SOAP scripts to connect to an external data source and bring in eCommerce on products (images, descriptions, categories, etc) into WordPress and WooCommerce Databases.
Website is a WordPress CMS with WooCommerce as eCommerce system. The eCommerce system it not live as of today. API is not real time, but is using a Cron Job every 3 hours to update products in the Database.
Existing API today collects customer and product information via Cron Job that kicks off an API Get from a 3rd party Inventory system for client.
So my Client has products in their warehouse, but a 3rd party company called DMSi uses a product called Agility to organize their inventory and product pick tickets in the warehouse, etc.
Goal is to modify the existing working API's (customer/product) to be responsive when Customers login or make purchases for products (ie show custom pricing and send products purchased back to 3rd part vendor via API).
This system is NOT going to currently send payment data via API, just the products to be shipped and retrieve customer pricing for every product when they sign in.
Phase one is the most important, phase 2 should be better defined, but not much, if anything, will change with API development.
Phase 1) Change existing API to retrieve product prices depending on the customer that is signed in. If the customer is not found when linking to Agility to get custom pricing then use normal pricing or what they call cash price.
Phase 2) Make checkout live by pushing products purchased to Agility through API upon checkout completion. If payments are accepted those will be handled via a normal Payment Gateway and not pushed to Agility API.
Please let me know your bid.
CMS and Admin requirements: WordPress
WooCommerce
PHP
SOAP
API
Extra notes: I need phase one done in 1 week or less, phase two completed within 2-3 weeks after that. Total completion in 45 days. If you can do it sooner I will give out a bonus of $100.
ONLY those near the same Timezone as ME (USA CST) need apply, others will be ignored.
I need someone who is working very close to the same hours I am, give or take a few hours, not a 10-12 hour difference. I work in St Louis, Missouri, USA which is CST (Central Standard Time).
If serious, I will provide the PHP Script currently in use after Agreeing in the Workstream that you will not disclose any of the client information or Script information and agree to no compete with my current clients (meaning don't steal my client and don't show off this code to anyone outside your immediate work needs).
PS: If this job looks familiar it is because it is. The last freelancer (seller) was unable to complete this work. Please make SURE you can complete this work in the time frame I need. Thanks.
