Linux kernel configuration / script work for SFP interface confi

We have a platform which is built on a LS1012AXE7EKA chipset from NXP. The Ethernet interface is SFP based and we are having troubles in the linux configuration to automatically detect and initialize the link correctly. Need some experienced hands that can help out here.
