Hi I am doing some work with Open VAS on Kali Linux which is Debian based.
Basically I want to be able to access the build from where ever I want but via IP address. To achieve this I need to run a bash script on start up to change the listening IP so I don’t get host header issues.
Basically when the machine starts up I want to it
1.) Get the main IPV4 IP address (same as what appears in IFCONFIG) (so we have the ip we want to use)
Then inject it into and run:
2.) sed -e 's/127.0.0.1/0.0.0.0/g' greenbone-security-assistant.service openvas-manager.service openvas-scanner.service -I (0.0.0.0 will be the IP address we inject in from the step about).
Then these lines:
systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl restart greenbone-security-assistant.service openvas-manager.service openvas-scanner.service
I will also need some instructions to run this on a Kali machine i.e setup the startup script etc.
This is just a quick job, hoping to make a good Linux contact out of this as we get quite a few Linux requests.
Link I used to get the info from ( I have tested this also and it works)
