General information for the website: Plugin needed for printing of thermal shipping labels

Description of every page/module: We need the ability to read and write text files to the client filesystem from a web based application. The real filesystem (not virtual)
We would like to use jQuery / javascript to communicate with a JAVA app or any other method that has permissions to do so.
Description of requirements/features: jQuery plugin:
read file from local client (c:/documents/DPD/tracking.txt)
Write to file local client (c:/documents/DPD/label.txt)
Delete / remove file
We would like a very simple API to do the above functionality
