Internet connection verifier for an Ionic 1/AngularJS app

Looking for a developer to write a simple script that checks if the user has a working internet connection.

The only thing I need is a script to check for a working internet connection on the device. This needs to happen after the user clicks on a submit button, and if the internet connection is working, the app sends out some form data from the app (already functional), if not, an error message is displayed stating that the user has 'poor internet connection, please try again later.'

Everything else is already functional within the app, the only thing that I need is the internet connection verifying script that works between the submit button and the actual sending of data.

You will be working via Ionic Creator, which is a web browser visual editor with page controller code editing capabilities.

The script itself should be pretty simple for a skilled developer, and it is important that this job is done as soon as possible, preferrably within 1-2 days from paying the deposit. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND, and do not offer your services to me unless you are truly able to deliver this job on time.
