General information for the website: the interactive map will be a resource for a new Joomla website
Num. of web pages/modules: one module
Description of requirements/features: The map should show the whole of europe from iceland to Turkey. A cool beautiful UI. CSS and jQuery expertise essential. The module should be suitable for use on a Joomla website. Fully commented code and description is essential. Easily changing color of map and highlighted sections is essential. Easy changes to list of countries is essential. It is also essential that the copyright in original work done on the map is fully assigned to us.
Proposed functionality (but suggestions for improbvement welcome):
1) tab 1 shows the map with members countries of the European Union shaded. A table of the countries is also shown.
2) Hover over a country on the map (or touch on mobile devices) and a pop up shows the country name.
3) Hover over the country name on the table highlights the country on the map.
4) Clicking (or tap on mobile) a country on the map shows three columns of data for that country (GDP, population, area) and a column with a weblink. The total of GDP, population and area is shown at the bottom of the table.
5) Provide a cool way of selecting multiple countries. Data for each is shown together with sum total of each column of data.
6) Provide a cool way way of selecting all countries in EU. Dat for each and total of each column.
7) tab 2 as 1-6 but for member states of a different international organisation.
We will provide country lists data and weblinks.
