In Praise of China

I've created a draft on Google Blogger, but I find it clunky and limited so, after reading other bloggers' opinions, I'm thinking of moving to Wordpress.

I would like to know what your charges would be for this transition/redesign/upgrade, and how you would like to relate to my project ongoing.

Here are some of my requirements. I don't know enough about what is available to make a comprehensive list. Please feel free to suggest changes and additions. (Also, feel free to criticize: I'm not wedded to any aspect of the current version!)

- Each new entry (typically an article with a linked reference) would automatically be sent to subscribers.
- Clear navigation links to past posts/topics
- How do new posts relate to existing posts on the same topic?
- I've not been able to control such basic elements as text size and formatting with Google's Blogger. How would your Wordpress solution improve this?
- I like (and read thoroughly, and forward to friends) http://www.theoildrum.com. Its 3-column layout seems to work well. It lacks a email subscription box, which I want to offer.
- I don't want display ads on the site; just text ads.
- I don't want comments to appear until I have looked at them.
