Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Please see attached picture to see what I'm talking about!!
I require a talented Jquery/AJAX coder for an image uploader and organiser, it will communicate via AJAX to PHP to store and retrieve information from a MYSQL table. I can handle the PHP/MySQL side of things but lack the experience when it comes to Jquery/AJAX/json.
I need...
1. Ability to upload multiple images at once by drag & drop or by clicking the "add new photo" button (many ready made uploaders out there that you could integrate)
2. It will detect whether image is landscape or portrait and save that info also, PHP will likely do this part, (if width < length{ $img = portrait)
3. Once uploaded, they will be inserted into database and appear under "Uploads" for that client (I can assist with this)
4. Can click and drag the images onto pages, if portrait, it can slot into either left or right spread. If landscape, it will occupy left and right spreads.
5. Once slot is occupied, script needs to disallow other photos being dragged into the same slot
6. Once in a page slot, the ability to drag them to other page slots or even back into "uploads".
7. A for each photo which will appear on mouse-over, with options to delete or crop the image...you don't have to script the crop tool, I should be able to manage that!
8. If possible...ability to click and drag the pages also, this would make ordering photos much faster. It would have to update the photo order - I think this part would be the hardest thing to script!
My preference for drag and drop framework is Jquery UI, and a nice finishing touch would be eased or bounce animations when adding in new pages or photos.
All photo data including their order and URL could easily fit in 1 string in the database, '{"clientPhoto":[{"ID":"1","URL":"1.jpg","Portrait":"1","Order":"3"},{"ID":"2","URL":"2.jpg","Portrait":"0","Order":"5"}]}';
To clarify, I do not need image resising or crop tool at this stage, these will be separate and/or handled by PHP. You would only need to do the Jquery/AJAX uploader/organiser. I can even do all of the CSS design including hover if you wish.
Thank you
