I need help installing a driver

I recently purchased a new laptop ASUS Vivobook 15 Model X512D. I need it to connect to an external Power bank with a USB Type C adaptor. However it is not working. Research showed that it may be missing a driver as shown in the attached article as it appears to be missing. Perhaps the fault lies elsewhere.
