I have a windows machine with MySQL 5.7 driver installed on it.
We have a MySQL 5.7 database hosted on an Azure Linux Box.
I can connect to the MySQL server directly from Heidi SQL using the SSH option and plink.
I would like to configure the windows machine such that the ODBC driver is able to connect to the machine in order for Excel to be connected to the MySQL server on the linux box.
I think it can be done by configuring the SLL options of the MySQL ODBC connector or by creating a SSH tunnel.
I envisage a telephone call and screen-share will be enough to resolve this matter with someone who is an expert.
