General information for the business: - software development...
Description of requirements/functionality: I need a simple safety alert application (app) for cell phones.
.) You will agree to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) as well as agreeing to a non-compete agreement to work on this project. ...to mean you will sign the PPH prior to commencement of this project.
.) The basic/general functionality of the app allows a user press button and it automatically calls 911 (OR one preset number) and also sends out preset texts to up to 15 number (basically a group text). The default phone number would be 911.
.) The "send-out" can be automatically preset for certain time as well.
.) I would like the app to be available for IOS and Android platforms.
.) This application will for be sale. I will need you to make arrangements for setting what needs to be done to effect the sales/payment process. ...possibly including making it available via my website.
.) Another example for the use of this app could be to send out alerts for birthday parties,
.) Let's say two people have the app. Person A could set up an alert if they DO NOT receive a message from Person B. If Person A DOES receive a text (or phone call if possible) then it defuses the alert.
.) If Person A's alert is tripped by not getting a message from Person B, Person A's app/phone could automatically forward those texts to other people, in or out of the apps' network.
.) I am willing to accept the BASIC/GENERAL functionality in #2.) and #3.) if the other steps are prohibitive or can't be accomplished. Additionally, I understand that one platform (IOS/Android) as opposed to both, might be more practical.
.) Please read all of the deliverables before contacting me.
.) DO NOT request that we speak outside of PPH before we have reach an agreement and even then only if it is absolutely relevant.
.) Submit your BEST offer upfront. DO NOT send me fake or misleading bids in order to engage in a misrepresentation of your actual offer.
.) There is no firm time limit for this project, within reason, as long as there is sufficient progress being made.
.) There will be NO milestone/partial payments for this project. You will be paid when the project is complete. I can't use a partial product.
.) You will be given a rating when the project is complete.
.) I will put up half of the money, upfront, in to the PPH escrow account and will pay the other half when the project is completed. PPH recommends that buyers do not pay sellers (developers)until the job is complete and I have found this sentiment to be prudent.
.) I am also a developer. However, I am multitasking on many different projects. I will assist/guide you with the project as best I can.
.) This is a simple project, for the most part. The challenging part will be the texting triggers that automatically send and/or sending a text after receiving a texts, etc. This is why it needs to be done within an app.
.) You do not get any name recognition, whatsoever, from the development of this app nor any residual income.
.) You need to be willing and able to engage in active communication about the project, at least on a weekly basis.
.) IF you have one of the MORE COMPETITIVE bids, I will contact you to vet your skills and experience. Please be respectful. I may not have time to personally respond to every single inquiry. If you have not gotten a response to your bid, it's likely that your bid was not comparatively as competitive as some of the other bids that I received.
