General information for the business: We are a telecoms company
Description of requirements/functionality: We have a very small requirement to automate some scripts. At the moment, we manually enter some data into a csv file and run a bash command to process the csv file. However this needs to be done manually everytime and creates a dependency.

We need to create a simple front end where the staff can enter few values like MAC, username and password. These values need to be picked from the front end and entered into a CSV, then the script needs to run automatically in backend and just give a message that this was run successfully.
Specific technologies required: scripting, front end development
OS requirements: Linux

    Hi...
    The entering of the data, is this a manual process? You only need the data to be transferred to csv by command line or web interface and then automatically run the bash script. Is this correct?

    I have worked with telecom company which is working on infrastructure build using VMware and shell scripting.

    I have written lots of cron job which executes based on cron expressions.

    Scripts that I wrote ranges from DB back up to configurations backup and sever installation post scripts.

    correct me if im wrong:

    1) user goes to web address
    2) fills in few fields
    3) clicks
    4) script developed by developer, is putting these in a csv file
    5) your bash script is run on that file
    6) user get info if script run with a success


    will it be run on an internal server? or will need it to be secured? (can be done in .htaccess for one as a basic security)
