Description
Experience Level: Entry
I have a (fairly) clean install of Linux (Mint) on a machine with 2 drives. The OS is on a 500gb SSD. The 1Tb sata hard disk is the second drive. I've been trying to get the drives correctly mounted and wanting to put the user areas on the second drive.
All of the language around Linux is new to me and I find it very obscure but it's early days and I guess this will get easier.
I need someone to guide me through this initial setup.
I have tried to follow online tutorials but they mostly are VERY complex - in that they use a lot of terminology I don't understand ..... or/and they don't work (for me) as they are written - I get unexpected errors.
The Linux community that I have come across seem to all be experts and not aware (or accepting) of someone starting out. I need someone non judgemental and keen to help. I'm a long time windows user and have a 'reasonably' understanding of that ecosystem - at least, at a 'desktop' level. I understand batch files, macros and a little programming.
I imagine a WhatsApp call might be a quick and easy way to go?
This is all very experimental
