Email Delivery, Filter and MySQL Database Storage System

Overview
PHP programming of a system that takes delivery of all email addressed to our mailserver, filters them based on a number of criteria and stores address headers and mail body in a MySQL database. Attachments to be stored separately on server.

Method
Installation of script to divert email delivery into custom php parser script.
PHP to strip email headers into from, to, reply-to, cc, subject, body and attachment parts.
Address headers (from, to, reply-to and bcc) to be further split into first name, last name and email components.
Filtering applied to subject fields and/or email addresses to determine email source and categorise emails.
Individual emails stored in dedicated MySQL database as separate records with date info of when mail was sent and received.

Follow up project (This is not part of this project brief)
There will be a follow up project to display the Email records within our CMS sorted by sender name, from address, source or date. Together with the ability to send new email and reply to incoming email
