Detect pattern in image, then rotate/deskew and crop

Experience Level: Intermediate
I've got a pattern similar to the QR detection blocks. See sample attached. What I want is to detect the location of the blocks, and then step 2 is to crop/deskew the image to end up only with the white section.
Preferable language is Java/C#. If not possible, then C or C++.
Probably the quickest is to write a custom Detector for zxing, or in OpenCV (something else is of course also allowed).
