Code to get the FONA 3G to send a string using http

We have a number of Arduino units using the FONA 808 sending GPS co-ordinates to our server cmaps.knox.nsw.edu.au (It's a Digital Ocean server in Singapore so no firewall). The FONA808 does this just fine. The 3G unit does everything BUT use http. The library is under-developed for the 3G https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_FONA

We have a Tronix Lab model, A Cooking Hacks Libelium model, a model from ITEAD, the Konekt.io Kickstarter tracker kit. They ALL say they use 3G but none of them have successfully used http.
