Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
General information for the business: desktop health device monitoring app
Num. of modules: 1
Description of every module: Developer finished project with code checked in, working .exe and wix installer for 32 and 64 bit targets, but he did a sloppy job with packaging / assemblies, and did not sign the app, which we need cleaned up.
We prefer 'nuget' packaging -- developer occasionally placed dll's into 'lib' folder. Should be able to clone and build on any machine that has commercial graphics libs installed (infragistics, scichart)
There are 3 'modules' - already coded and tested. No coding is required, just build and sign:
1) Main EXE
2) 'libusb' driver (no code was changed, just .INF for our device)
3) .wix installer
This does not need to involve any coding, but good coding practices and solid knowledge of .NET/Xamarin Windows desktop coding are required.
To complete the job you should be familiar with preparing production code with code-signing tools: Zadig / Libwdi, signtool or digicert sign tool, etc.
You need to be able to perform this work remotely, logged into a TeamViewer laptop that has grachics libs, and our authenticode cert installed on it. (Partner ID and login provided)
Description of requirements/functionality: Primary Deliverables:
1) clean build from clone (bitbucket repo)
2) replacement of any deprecated cirrious/hottuna mvvm lib with current mvvm 4.0
3) signed libusb driver using libwdi / zadig and clean Digicert authenticode cert (already on machine)
4) signed .exe for main app and installer
Specific technologies required: .net, xamarin, libwdi / zadig, mvvm
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes: If you haven't signed a libusb driver before - this only needs to be done ONCE (not as part of build). You can get instructions here: https://github.com/pbatard/libwdi/wiki/Signed-Driver-Walkthrough
For driver signing part, familiarity with nullsoft (NSIS) or Inno Setup will help
I can provide repo archive to anyone interested in bidding (peopleperhour NDA in force)
