Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
C/C++ Programmer with Linux experience required to assist in the development of a new measuring instrument. Familiarity with GUIs would be useful.
The hardware is based on a Micro2440 single board computer with touch-screen, running Ubuntu which interfaces to an I/O board that drives the peripherals.
The initial requirement is for a simple menu driven program which will be used to produce test results. This will be followed by data handling software to convert the results to meaningful units for the end user, and the third stage will be to provide a Graphical User Interface.
The work is to be done remotely, but you are within about one hours drive of Ipswich that would be an advantage, as there will be a need to work with the hardware on occasions. This can be arranged for evenings/weekends if necessary.
The starting date is ASAP. Specific milestones and deadlines will be agreed with the successful candidate before commencement.
