The problem:
There is a submenu on our site which unfolds once you enter one of the main areas. It is displayed fine on the first second levels but once we get to the third level or better: access any article within the (sub-)category, the submenu is stripped. The navigation walker somehow doesn't recognize that the article belongs to the category and/or doesn't trigger the menu generation properly. In any case we want the submenu to be shown on every article!
first level: http://dev.netzwerk-nachbarschaft.net/ratgeber.html
second level: http://dev.netzwerk-nachbarschaft.net/ratgeber/bauenwohnen.html
third level: http://dev.netzwerk-nachbarschaft.net/component/content/article/310.html
Do not wonder about http://dev.netzwerk-nachbarschaft.net/component/content/article/523.html if you stumble over it, I manually edited the navigation bar here...
The first levels like http://dev.netzwerk-nachbarschaft.net/ratgeber.html are being controlled by a custom module/plugin/component called "Landingpages" which allows us to assign articles to our 'landingpages'. Maybe this is where the problem sits because it isn't communicating with the menu module properly?
I've attached some screenshots illustrating the problem / the missing submenu. The menu-settings seem to be OK (compare additional screenshots), doesn't seem to be the average issue with "always show submenu" or the amount of levels...
You can access our FTP with http://dev.netzwerk-nachbarschaft.net/administrator/index.php?option=com_ninjaxplorer, there is also a component for MySQL. Will send you your super admin credentials once the job is accepted.
Do you need anything else? Just ask away...
Thanks & regards!
Henning
