Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the business: Developed a database that will be distributed widely
Description of requirements/functionality: The database is currently being tested - it has been prepared in 32bit Access on a 64 bit operating system.
I need step by step procedures to prepare a downloadable pack from a web site ( Pack use deliberately as not sure if it is a zip file or something else) for an uneducated IT user to load.
The user will probably not have Access consequently a Runtime option will be required. I am also unclear about the package and sign requirements and how to set trusted locations on my users machines.
The database will have a front end / back end and I will need to be able to change the front end as different versions come out so can't be buried too deeply.
At the moment I have not split the database nor included code to rejoin. My attempts to load the package with the runtime have failed miserably.
OS requirements: Windows
Extra notes: Happy to provide additional information as required and open to suggestions as to the best way forward with supplier
