403 forbidden Spring Microservices from Ajax POST/PUT requests

I have a spring cloud gateway project. Ajax requests from a browser work with GET request but fail with POST/PUT requests to the same controller. I have thoroughly looked into the CORS configuration. I have all endpoints allowed, all methods allowed, all origin url's allowed and all headers allowed. For origins I also hardcoded URLs rather than using the wildcard operator.

Require someone experienced in Spring. I am sure it will be a simple CORS fix but I cannot identify the issue.
If you are experienced this should be a quick task.
