12 Changes to a bespoke website system "Please Read Thoroughly"

Database Already exists with relevant pages.
1. We need a per bid counter.
We currently have a counter which counts forms that have been submitted but we need a counter which counts per quotes received back.

2. Sponsored Listings
Currently our customers receive a comparison list of received quotes, we need to have a 3 sponsored listings added to the top of the list similar to Gumtree and Google. The trader would have to tick a box on there bidding page to make there bid a sponsored listing and therefore only show in the sponsored listings at the top and not submitted in the organic results below.
We need all sponsored listing details to be stored in a backend folder for payment purposes. Trader/ Registration/Time/Date.

3. Add timings to the backend documents
We currently have a quotes folder which stores all quote requests sent out and bids figures quoted. Although these are all grouped in one big list we would like these quotes to be held in 1 folder per registration number and there to be a time and date on the registration folders. So RA11 AUW would be the folder with all the quote details held within that.

4. Upload Image/Video
We current have an image and video upload button but these need to be separate upload button. The images upload needs to be a statuary requirement. We want the video to play from a thumbnail like with Gumtree and all the normally expected functions should work i.e expanding video windows.

5. Email Re List Link
After 24 hours all quotes become inactive, if a customer did not get a quote or accept a quote we want the system to send an email which would contain a link which once clicked would resubmit there vehicle with there distance willing to travel moved up to the next level. (Also see point 11)

6. Remove the cancel button in exchange for a “Bid submitted”
Currently there is the option for a trader to cancel there bid on the bidding page this should not be there and needs to be removed. In its place there needs to be a “Bid submitted”
after they quote.

7. Exchange Of Emails
On the exchange of emails page we need to move the cancel quote link to the bottom of the page and made to look a bit more appealing.

8. Scrape the top 10 highest quotes
The system is supposed to scrape the top 10 highest quotes received and send only these 10 plus the sponsored listings to the customer. It currently sends only 20 requests for bids for some reason. We need this changed to uncapped.

9. Out Of Hours holding system
The out of hours system is supposed to gather all forms received requesting quotes outside office hours and send them out at 8:55. The previous programmer turned this system off and we need it reactivated.

10. Fix Cron timings
The cron timings for our automated email sending system needs to be tweaked as it is currently send out at wrong times. The auction times are every hour during office opening times Monday to Sunday 9am – 4pm with the last customer quotes list received by the customer at 5pm. Traders are sent any requests for quotes at :55 past the hour from any requests for quotes received in the previous hour, the trader gets a maximum of 1 hour to quote and then the comparison is returned to the customer. Traders first request for quotes will be at 9am from the over night queue with these results returned to the customer at 10am.






11. The Auction cut off time.
Once the comparison list has been sent then no more bids should be accepted! Bidding is over and no more bids should be allowed. Any trader trying to bid should see “Bidding Now closed”. No one should be able to submit a bid after the close. 24 hours after the customer receives their comparison list we don’t want the customer to be able to accept another bid. Bids are all disabled after 24 hours with a button “Click here to re submit” This will be the same link as seen on their email. This link will only be seen if the customer has cancelled all bids.

Outside the 24 hours if a bid is if a bid is selected they need to cancel all bids before being able to re list.

At the moment once a quote is selected it deactivates the rest of the quotes only by cancelling the previously accepted bid can a customer see the relist link. If the customer doesn’;t select a bid the comparison list becomes deactivated after 24 hours.
