Visual Basic Developer

I represent a start-up company developing a software prototype, not code for general release, to revolutionise the retail sector. Applicants have potential for further projects, or potentially business partnership.

You will be developing code for Windows XP.

We require a developer with expertise in VB on XP and HTTP.

Knowledge of printer device drivers and printers, PDF and PDFCreator, redmon, Windows GDI, and regular expressions is also highly desirable.

The key features of the requirements are outlined below:

1) to modify the PDFCreator project code as follows:
a) remove dialog box so that PDFCreater outputs directly to a PDF file with no user prompting
b) forwards the PDF file and some other parameters via HTTPS and deletes it, or then transparently(i.e. not using a visible windows program) sends the PDF file to a physical print device depending on HTTPS response or other condition
c) identifies and extracts text lines from the printout using regular expressions for separate handling as HTTP parameters
d) obtains settings from an ini file or registry
e) an additional PDFCreator tab to maintain the ini file/registry settings and make them programatically available
f) remove unwanted PDFCreator features

There are no other significant requirements, the above are the key objectives of the project.
