Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
General information for the app: Digital business card app which retains the visual impact of a printed card and allows card owners to share and update their card easily - the best of both worlds.
Description of every page/module: We will upload a full, page-by-page design spec, but contractors can see the existing app TextYourCard on the App Store (iOS only now). We will also have a whiteboard explainer video ready in a few days.
We will be making only small changes to the functionality you can see there, but we want a fairly comprehensive makeover of the UI/UX done and ready it for Android also.
Description of requirements/features: As above.
Basically, the app allows users to photograph their printed card and input vCard contact details, from which we create a microsite which serves as the digital card. Viewers of the online card can save to Contacts, telephone the card owner and share the card in all the usual ways.
Paying subscribers can add a brochure by uploading more images, a location map with directions, and have advertising removed.
The key aim for the UI is to facilitate easy, even elegant, business card exchanges regardless of whether either party has, or doesn't have a printed card, which we hope the explainer video will illustrate.
E.g. users can say "Would you like my business card?", show it on their phone with a click and offer to send it straight away to the card receiver's phone or email. Or they can hand over their printed card and ask if the receiver would like to get the digital one to save them scanning/editing or typing details in manually. Similar process if the other person asks "Do you have a business card with you?"
See this card as an example www.0415429723.textyourcard.com
Similar urls: We want fresh thinking, so don't want to give comparable URLs. We don't like most of them anyway, which is why we are doing this one!
Extra notes: We will upload the explainer video and (re)design spec in the next few days, to facilitate informed bids. In the meantime, we would appreciate expressions of interest with links to relevant UI/UX portfolio works, saying what you actually did in each case.

Thanks,
