I am looking for help developing an application to synchronise video playback across multiple networked linux machines. I have a networking component but I am looking for someone to help with interaction with the graphics systems. Starting with advice and developing into a proof of concept. I need to be able to pick time signals out of the master file as it plays, then speed up / slow down the playback on the other machines. I would also like to be able to initiate playing of the video at a specific frame.
The video needs to be rendered using openGL (probably using multiple threads).
