Submission of existing Mac program to Mac App Store

Currently, my software is available as a Mac download and I'd like to get it on the Apple Mac App store. I have no experience with the App store so I'm looking for someone who has previously submitted apps to the store and managed apps on there.

This is a three stage assignment.

Stage 1: Preliminary research - provide information on what changes (if any) are required for our software to submitted to the Mac App store. I anticipate possible changes to the licensing (software enabling) system but need clarification on what is required for the App store. I also need requirements on packaging up the software as required. Currently it is distributed as a .dmg.

Stage 2: After we have made any changes needed and packaged up the software, you should create a submission. Most of the images and text needed for a submission already exist on the software web site. You will be responsible for collating appropriate material for the submission so that the data displayed along with the download is informative and descriptive of the software.

Stage 3: Deliverables, delivery of any login details along with instructions on how updates are managed.
