Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Develop an application or DLL to run on windows platforms.
Calling the application ( from another application ) with a text string perameter causes a dialog box to pop up. No fancies, just a perimeter, close icon and a text entry field. Provision to have a line of prompt text configured in the registry.
The app then passes the command line text, the entered text string and a string from the registry ( additional id ) via tcp/ip to a remote server ( secure socket possibly URL / IP address specified in registry ) and waits for the response which will be a status response code string and a series of strings ( if status is OK ).
If the tcp/ip status is OK the app then emulates the PC keyboard, outputting the strings as \'typed\' keys. The strings are simple ASCII text and do not include special keys or characters. Following this the app should exit with a success return to the calling app.
If the tcp/ip return is not = OK then the app should beep and ask for a new entry to be made. After 3 attempts the app should gracefully exit and
return a fail status to the calling application.
This app should be trivial to an experienced C++ developer.
The source code ( preferably as a Visual Studio 2010 project ) will be required.
