We are looking for a Java EE developer with experience developing Java Portlets (JSR 286). This project requires a user to integrate Liferay Portal with vtiger CRM application. vTiger CRM should be available to Liferay's registered users.
vTiger is a powerful open source CRM application that its feature should be made available to the Liferay portals as a set of integrated portlets (JSR 286). The CRM application will be hosted in a shared environment with a single instance running, therefore, the developer shall ensure that the data stored within the CRM database is only available to the person or organisation which created it in the first place
There are overlapping features between Liferay and vTiger, mainly in document management. Whereever the features overlap, Liferay core features shall be preserved instead of vtiger.
This project requires a deep integration between both software (Liferay and vtiger CRM) and all system management, security and auditing shall be conducted within Liferay.
Here are some of the system management requirements that shall be met by the end product:
Organisation shall be able to switch functionalities ON/OFF
Organisation shall be able to designate which of the organisation users will have access to the portlets
vtiger portlets will be charged to the organisation on per user basis or a bundle can be purchase
the system shall have a dashboard to allow users to customised their purchases (vtiger functionalities)
Organisation shall have a user administration page
This project requires an integration with Paypal payment gateway where organisations can setup their account for payment.
Developers are required to migrate vtiger functionalities to Liferay Portlets and not to take any shortcuts. The portlets shall not lack any functionalities which are available to their vtiger counterparts.
