Javascript Application Development

I'm a freelance IT consultant who is looking to develop a prototype software application for my customers. The application will primarily be a feature-rich client-side Javascript application. I'm hoping to employ a developer (or team thereof) to develop the prototype within 2 or 3 months. (Without commitment) My estimated budget is £30k, given in £10k portions assuming I'm happy with the developer(s) previous work. If the prototype is successful then there is likely to be plenty of follow-on work.

The developer(s) will require:
>> Work on this, in principle, full time - not keep being interrupted by short-term work that might arise
>> The ability to correctly code up algorithms in JavaScript
>> Knowledge of regex, data parsing, Databases/SQL, Spreadsheets
>> Ability to write/structure/architect large amounts of code (100s-1000s of lines)
>> Must be within commutable distance of Cheltenham to meet up face-to-face
>> Must be able to work as part of a distributed team (communicating via Skype/Email/Git)

Preferable:
>> Knowledge/Experience of Java/Tomcat server/servlet creation

Important:
Although the application will be contained within a webpage this is NOT a requirement for a good looking web-page and clever graphical design.

START: asap

This is a work from home contract with occasional meetings in Cheltenham (travel NOT paid).
Due to the large amount of work required (and level of trust in your skills) there will be a small Javascript coding test, to be done in your own time, as part of the selection - to ensure candidate suitability.
